Payment card data security and protection continues to be a hot button issue for financial institutions and service providers. Last week, TJX Companies Inc. agreed to a $9.75 million settlement due to a massive data breach. When the company announced this breach in 2007, it was widely considered the biggest breach of payment cards to date, and exposed an estimated 45 million cards to hackers. An investigation revealed that hackers broke into the company’s networks through poorly configured wireless access points.
Don’t fall victim to hackers, your institution can’t afford it! Ensure that your institution is up to date with PCI standards by attending this timely audio conference.
