Identity theft is occurring at an ever-increasing rate and it is costing financial institutions and their customers billions of dollars in lost time and revenue each year. Scarcely a day passes without breaking news about new data breaches of confidential information. Regulators have recognized that financial institutions are on the frontline in the war against identity theft.

Topics to be covered include:

  • What are the most common sources of Identity Theft?
  • What are the new requirements for developing an Identity Theft prevention program?
  • What are the 26 Identity Theft “Red Flags” and why how can I detect them?

  • How do I develop an effective and compliant Identity Theft program?
  • What components need to be included within my Identity Theft prevention program?
