Is your financial institution still relying on traditional internal audits to detect and prevent fraud? Fraud schemes are continually evolving and becoming increasingly more complex --- and a complete understanding of the sophisticated schemes being used by today’s criminals is essential to protecting your institution from financial losses and legal and reputation risks.
Preventing Fraud: Going Beyond the Traditional Audit will provide real world examples of current fraud schemes and advice on how to protect your financial institution. You can’t afford to miss this important audio conference – register today and make sure you protect your institution from costly mistakes!
Program Highlights Include:
- How a fraudster got away with a check fraud for over two decades
- How a mortgage broker used his own funds to commit fraud
- How a financial institution was held liable when an account holder committed fraud against their own customers
- How one fraudster carried out a loan fraud through their equipment leasing company
- How an assistant manager stole more after being promoted to branch manager
- Recognizing when a cyber crime is committed. The rules for access and authorization are not clear.
If traditional internal audits fail to detect fraud, then what does work? We will talk about non-traditional audit methods to detect fraud such as:
- How to create a front line offense by training fraud detectives
- How to ask the right questions to detect a fraudulent activity
- How computer software can help you find fraud.
